Join us on Monday, April 22 for an interactive presentation by guest speaker, Dr. Dan Ebener of St. Ambrose University.  Dr. Ebener will answer What is leadership? How does it work?  What is servant leadership?  How does it enhance our understanding and practice of leadership?

 

Dr. Dan R. Ebener has been teaching leadership for the Master of Organizational Leadership (MOL) program at St. Ambrose since 2001.  He has been practicing leadership and developing leaders for church and community organizations since 1976, including serving as Catholic Charities director in Davenport from 1986-2006. 
 
Dan has traveled to 58 countries, most of them on mission trips or teaching leadership.  He has presented at conferences, classrooms, church basements or community forums in 43 states and 20 countries.  He teaches a leadership class in Croatia each year.
 
Dan is author of two books,
Blessings for Leaders, published in 2012 by Liturgical Press, and Servant Leadership Models for Your Parish, published in 2010 by Paulist Press.  He has published many articles on various leadership topics.  Some of these can be viewed at www.servantleadershipmodels.com.   

Dan believes in practicing what he teaches.  He has a consulting business, Quad City Leadership Consulting, which is listed at www.QCLCI.com.  He has consulted with more than 75 companies as he facilitates strategic planning and does training on leadership, team-building, fundraising and board development for nonprofits, churches, government agencies and corporate businesses. 

Dan graduated from Augustana College with a Bachelor of Arts and earned a Master of Education from St. Mary’s College. Dan also earned a Master of Business Administration, Master of Social Work, and Doctor of Business Administration from St. Ambrose University.
