Title: President/Chief Executive Officer of the Putnam Museum & Science Center

Effective: May 2007 to present

Primary Responsibilities:  Champion strategic direction and action; develop resources of time, talent and treasure; partner with the Board of Trustees to advance the Putnam mission; oversee Putnam operations; provide financial stewardship; collaborate with other community organizations to enhance the Quad Cities quality of life; serve as an ambassador to the community.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Marycrest College, Davenport. Post Graduate Work in Non-Profit Management, St. Ambrose University, Davenport.

Family: Kim is married to Rick Brackey. She has three adult stepchildren and six grandchildren from 4 to 13 years old.   Kim and Rick reside in Durant, Iowa with their two Golden Retrievers, Harley  & Ella.

 

Previous Positions:  Kim spent 14 years at United Way of the Quad Cities Area, where she served as President from 1995-2004. She was instrumental in increasing annual funds raised by 30% as well as launching many successful community initiatives, including Contributor Choice; Outcomes Measurement for funded programs; the Community Partnership Grant Fund and the nationally-recognized Success By 6 initiative.
