Bios –

  1.     Sergeant Harris – Sgt. Andrew Harris brings more than 28 years of policing experience to his role as the supervisor of the Community Impact Team within the Davenport Police Department’s Services Division. A dedicated advocate for strengthening ties between law enforcement and the community, Andrew has long recognized the power of fostering meaningful connections. In 2020, he spearheaded the launch of the Good Neighbor Project, an initiative that has earned widespread support from both local residents and organizations. Through this project, Andrew has cultivated a greater sense of pride and unity among Davenport's neighborhoods, showcasing his belief in policing as a force for positive change.

 

In addition to leading the Good Neighbor Project, Andrew coordinates a variety of community engagement events that further promote positive interactions between the department and the public. These include initiatives like Shop with a Cop, Coffee with a Cop, Cops and Cocoa, and Special Olympic events. Andrew’s work is a testament to his commitment to community policing and his dedication to making a lasting, positive impact in Davenport.

 

  •     Allie McWilliams – Allie McWilliams serves as the Community Engagement Coordinator for the City of Davenport, where she strengthens the connection between local government and the community it serves. Through her leadership of The Good Neighbor Project, a reimagining of the traditional Neighborhood Watch, Allie empowers and stabilizes neighborhoods by cultivating meaningful relationships and fostering a sense of shared pride.

 

Her passion for community engagement shines through the organization of various city programs and events including DavenportU Citizens Academy, Party in the Park, and others that bring residents together to learn, celebrate, and connect. As the host of The Davenport Pulse podcast, Allie interviews and highlights the voices of residents, city staff, non-profits, and local businesses, helping bridge the gap between citizens and their local government.
