Shannon Greene grew up on a farm in St. Joe, Iowa. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Central College in Pella and her master’s degree from the University of Iowa. With 29 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, she has dedicated her career to mental health, substance abuse, and family services.

Shannon previously served as Vice President of Prelude Behavioral Services and as Community Program Manager for Iowa City’s Blue Zones Project. In 2016, she joined RMHC-EIWI as Chief Operating Officer and transitioned to the role of CEO in 2020.

She and her husband reside in North Liberty, Iowa.
