Important Message from  President Jim Wegener & Dan Solchenberger, please read below:

President Jim Wegener Message "As a Davenport Rotarian, the expectation is for each Rotarian to buy or sell at least one raffle ticket.  Each raffle ticket sold, will help our club meet our donation goal in support of The QC Miracle Field.  If you typically are unable to attend noon meetings, a raffle ticket has been invoiced and mailed to you.  The raffle ticket also provides entrance for you & one guest into the Wingfest Event on Sept. 30th.  Please look for the invoice and raffle ticket in this week's mail.  If you would like additional raffle tickets to sell, please contact the club. Appreciate for your support."

Fellow Davenport Rotarians,

We are now in September and that means less than 30 days to sell Raffle Tickets.   Here is an email and links below that you can use in asking people to support the Rotary Club of Davenport and the Miracle Field of the Quad Cities.  We don’t care if people want to go together to purchase a ticket 5 people $20 bucks at a chance to win $2000, or 10 people $10 bucks to win a $1000, you get the idea.  If you use the email you can “make the ask” to family, friends and colleagues in short order and they can buy online if they want.   Remember you can’t sell a ticket if you don’t “make the ask” and as a wise man once said if you don’t ask the answer is always no.

Thanks for support of the fundraiser this year.

Hello,

The Rotary Club of Davenport is doing its annual fundraiser this year to support a worthwhile regional cause,  The Miracle Field of the Quad Cities  https://www.dropbox.com/s/a7fuupnu52o5c46/09_MIRACLE%20FIELD%20RECUT%204.mp4?dl=0.  If you watch the video you will see that this field is to support those with mobility issues throughout the region, not just the Quad Cities.  It will be used by young and old alike to give them the opportunity to play on a field that is specially designed for their needs.   The nearest field for this type of activity is in the Chicago area and in DesMoines, both too far for use by those in the Quad Cities region to easily access. The Rotary Club of Davenport is selling $100 raffle tickets for a chance to win $10,000 and we are limiting the ticket sales to 500.   We will be having a drawing at The 5th Annual Rotary Club of Davenport Wingfest on September 30, 2017 from 3-6 PM at Prairie Heights Park, 5600 Eastern Ave, Davenport, IA.  You need not be present to win, but your raffle ticket gets two people into the event for free.

Please help us exceed our goal of raising $50,000 for The Miracle Field of the Quad Cities.   All funds raised by the Rotary Club of Davenport go to support the Miracle field.   There are also Sponsorship opportunities for your business if you would like to sponsor the event.  http://davenportrotary.org/event/5th-annual-wingfest-fundraiser-raffle/
