Monday's meeting will be held in the RiverCenter on the north side of 3rd street on the 1st floor banquet hall.  Rick Palmer will be leading us on a tour of the Adler Theater.

Rick Palmer is the Executive Director for the RiverCenter/Adler Theatre managed by Compass Facility Management, headquartered in Ames, Iowa. Rick Palmer is a native Iowan and graduate of Coe College with degrees in Economics and Business Administration.  He and his family reside in Davenport, which includes his wife Julie, as well as children Alec and Ashley.

 

Rick has been with the RiverCenter/Adler Theatre since the fall of 1997 and has been in his current position since April 2006.  He has been a member of the International Association of Assembly Managers since 1996. He graduated from IAAM's School for Public Assembly Facility Management in 1994 and has recently completed a three-year Senior Executive Symposium curriculum through Cornell University.  He also earned his accreditation as a Certified Facility Executive in 2005.  He currently serves on IAAM's membership committee and has previously served on the Convention Centers Committee, as well as various District committees.

 

Community involvement include President Mississippi Valley Blues Society, United Way Investment Team Member, Eisenhower Elementary School - Volunteer Tutor, Boys Scouts of America - Den Leader, All Saints Lutheran Church - Past Council/Sunday School Teacher, RiverCenter for Performing Arts - Adler Theatre Renovation, BlackHawk/RiverCenter Task Force, Downtown Parking Task Force
