The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers, guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.

Since July 2001, Betsy Pratt has been the CEO for the American Red Cross of the Quad Cities Area in Moline, Illinois. The Quad Cities Area Chapter provides services to a eight county area.Scott, Muscatine, and Louisa counties in Iowa and Rock Island, Mercer, Bureau, Whiteside and Henry counties in Illinois. Recently the chapter has achieved the designation of Highly Performing Chapter for the 3rd year in a row. Only 38 other chapters in the nation achieved this rating.

Betsy has been employed with the American Red Cross since 1985. Her first position with the organization was as the Health and Safety Services Director for the Grant Wood Area Chapter in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In 1997, Betsy was appointed the Assistant Executive Director for the Grant Wood Area Chapter.

She received a Bachelor's Degree in Community Health Education from the University of Kansas and a Masters of Public Administration from Drake University.

Betsy is a member of the American Red Cross President's Advisory Council. This council provides feedback and information to the President of the American Red Cross concerning issues that effect the organization on a national and local level.

Betsy has been a member of the Davenport Rotary Club since 2001.

Betsy is married to Alan Asay. She has two daughters Megan and Leah Tatro. Megan is a freshman at Scott Community College and Leah is in freshman at Bettendorf High School.
