QC Wild Places - Fostering ecotourism in the region
Presented by Kathy Wine, Executive Director, River Action

Nature thrives in the Midwest and the Quad Cities region is no exception. From the Mississippi River and its tributaries, to their floodplain wetlands and backwaters, to the wooded bluffs and upland plains, more than 16,000 acres of publicly accessible natural areas lie within an hour’s drive of the Quad Cities metro area.

Join us on Monday, March 12 as Ms. Wine introduces “QC Wild Places” an effort to bring attention to the Quad Cities’ natural areas and to foster ecotourism. Learn how you can become a QC Wild Places Explorer and help foster ecotourism in our region.
