On Monday, June 1 we will welcome Sherry Ristau, President & CEO of the Community Foundation of Great River Bend.  Sherry will speak about her personal journey will also sharing information about the Community Foundation and its impact on the regional community while also giving us a glimpse into the future.

 
 
 
After conducting a nationwide search, the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend (CFGRB) Board of Directors selected Sherry Ristau as their third President & Chief Executive Officer.  The Community Foundation currently manages 1,000 distinct charitable funds, totaling almost $120 million in assets, and serves 17 counties in two states.  In the past 50 years, CFGRB has distributed more than $44 million in grants to charitable causes
locally, and nationwide, that reflect the individual passions of more than 10,000 generous donors. 
 
Sherry Ristau holds a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership, a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Gerontology, and a second bachelor’s degree in Family Life and Child Development. A native of Blue Earth, Minnesota, Ristau began her leadership duties at the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend on September 3rd, 2014.  Prior to her move to the QCA, Ristau was employed for more than 20 years at
Southwest Initiative Foundation, including the last 17 as President/CEO. She has enjoyed working with CFGRB’s passionate and committed Board of Directors and professional staff, and learning about all the assets of the Quad City area and how to grow and serve our Regional Community.
