Patricia Keir is Chancellor of Eastern Iowa Community College in Davenport, Iowa. The District includes Clinton, Muscatine, and Scott Community Colleges.  Prior to her arrival in Iowa, Dr. Keir spent five years as president at San Diego Miramar College, and, prior to that, served as the executive vice president and provost at Lansing Community College in Michigan and held administrative posts at the College of DuPage in Illinois. 

Dr. Keir earned her Ed.D. in adult and continuing education from Northern Illinois University, master's degrees from Wayne State University and Wesleyan University, and a bachelor's degree from Cornell University. 

Dr. Keir serves on a number of local, state, and national boards and task forces including Alcoa Community Advisory Board; Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois; Quad Cities Graduate Study Center Board; Quad City Development Group Executive Committee and Board; Davenport Rotary; Quad Cities Growth Steering Council; Wells Fargo Bank Community Advisory Board; Scott County Family YMCA Executive Committee and Board; St. Ambrose University Business Advisory Council; Iowa Institute for  Tomorrow's Workforce;  IACCP By-Laws Committee, Post-Secondary Coordination Committee; Educational Policy and Practice Perspectives Series at Iowa State University Advisory Board; Iowa Student Loan Board. At a national level, Dr. Keir serves on the American Council of Community College Trustees President's Advisory Committee of Presidents, ACE Fellows Program, and the American Association of Community Colleges Board of Directors.
