Brian Kennedy , is President of Woodberry Associates, LLC, a Washington, D.C. based public affairs firm specializing in health and education policy as well as congressionally directed appropriations and association management. For nearly two decades, Mr. Kennedy's professional career has spanned the practice of law, campaign politics and corporate public affairs consulting. Over the course of his career, Mr. Kennedy has served as the organizer, manager and/or a strategic consultant to over a dozen coalitions and associations and presently serves as Director of the Alliance for Patient Access.  He has served on the national political staff of two Republican presidential campaigns and is a past Executive Director of the Republican Governors Association. Mr. Kennedy served as Chairman of the Republican Party of Iowa, as a member of the Republican National Committee and as Co-Chairman of the 1996 Republican National Platform Committee.  He has also served as a campaign manager to former Iowa Governor Terry Branstad, and political advisor to United States Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, United States Senators Lamar Alexander, John McCain and Elizabeth Dole and Governor Mitt Romney.

 

Mr. Kennedy received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from IowaStateUniversity and his J.D. from DrakeUniversityLawSchool.  He is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association.

 

State Senator Joe Seng is currently serving his second term in the Iowa Senate. He represents Senate District 43, which includes Davenport in ScottCounty. Before his election to the Senate, Seng served one term in the Iowa House of Representatives.

Senator Seng is chair of the Agriculture & Natural Resources Budget Subcommittee. He also serves on the Agriculture, Appropriations, Natural Resources, and Ways & Means committees.  Joe is actively involved in his community, as a member of the Knights of Columbus, NAACP, and vice-president and chairman of fundraising at MarquetteAcademy He has received many awards and recognitions, including Past Presidents Award from the Iowa Veterinary Medical Association and the Golden Apple Award from MarquetteAcademy.  He was also named Legislator of the Year by the Izaak Walton League and received national recognition from the American Humane Society for his efforts to prevent animal cruelty.

 

Joe graduated from LostNationCommunityHigh School and earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Veterinary Medicine from IowaStateUniversity. He is currently a veterinarian in Davenport He has one daughter, Heidi, and two grandsons.

 

Linda J. Miller was first elected in 2006 to the  Iowa House of Representative for District 83.  She serves on the Education Committee, Human Resources, Ways and Means, and the Appropriation Subcommittee for Health and Human Services.

Linda grew up in Greenfield, Iowa and following high school graduation, she attended the Iowa Methodist School of Nursing, DrakeUniversity and the University of Iowa, where she graduated in 1968. In 1977, Linda married Harold and they have six children and 4 grandchildren.  Linda is a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bettendorf, Iowa.

She belongs to several civic and professional organizations, including Davenport One, the Bettendorf Chamber of Commerce, Bettendorf Rotary, Scott Community Foundation Board, Davenport Community School Foundation Board, the Iowa Medical Alliance, and the Scott County Medical Alliance.
