Ellis Kell is the founder and vocalist of The Ellis Kell Band, a blues group that has proven to be a favorite of Quad-Cities music fans. However, more than his music has touched the area scene -- his generousity has as well. Mr. Kell is well known as one of the friendliest and most helpful musicians in the Q-Cs." - Mark McLaughlin.  Terry Lunardi describes Ellis as the "Godfather of Blues in the Quad Cities". 

 

Ellis Kell is the Director of Programming & Education for the River Music Experience, and a well-known Quad-Cities musician. Kell has performed for more than twenty years, sharing the stage with such national acts as B.B. King, Robert Cray, Delbert McClinton, Jimmy Rogers, Little Feat, Willie Nelson, Bo Diddley and Johnny and Edgar Winter. Kell has earned numerous awards throughout his career for his outstanding musicianship, and he continues to be a staple of the Quad-City music scene.
