Kelly Koch was crowned Miss Iowa at the Adler Theatre in Davenport Iowa in June 2016. Kelly won the crowd and judges over with her dynamic personality, engaging stage presence and her highly technical and gorgeous ballet en point performance which also secured her a preliminary talent win. Kelly represented the state of Iowa on the Miss America stage in September where she was named a top ten finalist. Millions watched live on ABC as Kelly wowed the crowd competing in lifestyle and fitness, evening gown and talent. Kelly is thrilled to have the opportunity to travel throughout the state of Iowa and beyond, performing for crowds, visiting schools and speaking to businesses and non-profit organizations. Kelly's school visits focus on helping young people discover their passion and find ways to give back to others. Whether it's speaking or performing for an entire school at an assembly or working on a project with a small group in a classroom, Kelly thrives on sharing her message with young children and teens. As Miss Iowa, Kelly is able to embrace her passion for the Pinky Swear Foundation, whose mission is to aid in the emotional and financial support of families and their children who are going through the burdens of pediatric cancer. As a National Ambassador for Pinky Swear, Kelly is dedicated to fundraising , tending to the care and comfort of the children and families of Iowa, and raising awareness for the foundation.
